Passenger foot peg exhaust protection
Hello, I have a 2008 Fatboy that is simply awesome. It's my first Harley and I love it ( should have done this years ago). I can't swing new exhaust and fuel management next year do to other things I need for the bike. As you all know, the stock exhaust splits the passenger footpeg and mama's boot gets hot. So far she has done a great job keeping the sole off teh exhaust, but it seems inevitable. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to keep her foot away from the exhaust . Perhaps some type of plate or protection that fits around the peg? I'm ready to design and market something myself for this seemingly common problem. I appreciate any help and advice. Snows coming up here in Maine, so time to ponder this one. Thanks, Steve

big fan of easy-off oven cleaner here too. tks for the tip on the paint 4mer racer - will pay more attention next time i use the cleaner. curious to see how those kuryakyn mounts look though -their webpage doesn't show any pictures from the installed right-side version - do you have pics?

I used Meguiar’s cleaner and wax to remove it and it shines it too. I got rid of the heat by disconnecting the 02 sensors and replaced them with 330 ohm resistors like it said on www.nightrider.com. You can also buy the 02 eliminators from a power commander dealer for about $15 a pair.[/align]
