undo the one bolt on the rear fender and slide it out..simple as that. there is a metal tongue on the front of the seat that fits under the tank, slide the seat backwards and voila'

Dugan,

I don't see any visible bolts to remove. The stock bolt hole on the rear fender has a chrome bolt cover on it. I was thinking the seat needs to be slid back towards the rear of the bike somehow and it would pop off but I didn't want to do anythign stupid.

from what I recall the Badlander only has one bolt on and that is the rear fender bolt. pop that chrome cover off and see what ya have. I had one on my 07 FatBoy, maybe it is diffferent for the 06's is the strap bolted on somewhere? I never used that strap.

Comment #1) I think someone added a chrome cover over the rear seat screw?. Remove the cap, and underneath should be a screw where you use a large reg. screwdriver, or a quarter to remove the screw.

Comment #2) You won't be able to fit a PC III underneath a Badlander seat without cutting the pan. There is not enough room (I already tried) A PC III unit will JUST clear under a stock Fatboy seat....

There may be an allenbolt setscrew on the bolt cover. If not just pop it off. You should really learn how to remove your seat beacuse there are a lot of important bits under there you need to bea able to get to.

Road Clam,

Did you use the deeper tray supplied with the PCIII (if that's a stupid question, I'll apologize in advance). Will a Fuel Pack fit better?

The seat has a screw on each side in front of each fender strut. Wow - now you see why I don't wrench! Now to see how I can hollow out the seat to make the PC fit.
