Mine does all the time. But it rains in Seattle so NO H2O is not an option. Unless I wish to stop ridding!

Haven't really had it happen as much on the speedo but the fuel gauge always fogs up but only after I've washed the bikes or after we've ridden in rain. We put them out in the sun for a while and the lenses will clear up.

Leave it in the sun and the water will find its way out the same way it got in.

Had this a bunch of times. Take a drop light (automotive repair light) turn it on and put the bulb as close as you can to the glass of the speedo. Leave it overnight and it will be gone in the morning. Just check to make sure the bulb is not close enough to burn/melt something. Works every time.

Same here happened on my 98 and my 07, but it'll eventually evaporate out, no worries.

I get condensation under the speedo glass on my '08 Fatboy. I typically only get it when I am riding in wind-blown driving rain.

I can wash my bike (with a garden hose), use soap and rags everywhere and not get any ill effects. It only seems to happen when I am on the road stuck in the rain for a while. I can leave my bike parked in the rain and not have a problem. Go figure.

My guage dries out on its own, but I have an annoying film (water stain) behind the glass. There is a thread on the forum here about speedo disassembly (ain't pretty) where you tap apart the chrome ring, clean the glass and then tap the ring back on after you have lifted the speedo out of the dash.

I looked into the dealer replacing the thing; and like they say, probably happens with the next one. Seems hit or miss with folks affecteddepending HOW wet and for HOW long they get their speedo wet. For all I know, the water is getting in from underneath the dash, not the chrome ring on top.

If everything gets done on the up & up (meaning legally), the dealer has to order a new speedo with pre-loaded mileage to match the one being replaced. They are suppose to be within a couple of hundred miles of each other, otherwise a comment gets added to your bike's title about odometer replacement thatwill show up on a Carfax search. Your VIN number goes in with the Speedo order. All/any vehicle manufacturersare obligated to report odometer changes. It would be a real mess out there if we could swap out odometers anytime we wanted with no tracking/reporting.
