RE: the FAT Deuce
thnaks for the comments! ill try to answer all questions here...
the ride:
defenitely softer than stock 21 inch, less vibration on the handlebar. I dont think its good for twisties, but i dont do that anyway. a bit harder to control in sharp turns, need to put more effort to lean the bike and it feels like it wants to staighten up by it self. nothing biggie, took me just a day to get used to it. really nice for cruising though
fork brace:
I dont notice any diffrence, but again, i dont ride hard, and I put the fork brace just to fill the gap on the fork since i cant put the fender back, so its all just for the looks
lowering:
I use cheapo $115 ultima lowering shocks from ebay, its not bad at all. Slammed it to the max, i think it gives me 2 inches. front is stock height, the 17 tires is about 1 inch shorter than the 21

RE: the FAT Deuce
Talk about perfect timing , thinking about doing this on my Deuce . Your bike looks fantastic!!!I've been thinking about swapping out my chrome spokes for a set of twisted SS ones and with a new front tire being needed fairly soon , this would be a great idea . Cost would not be much more than my planned mod / tire , just the price of a rim and a little more for a bigger tire .
How much road crap gets thrown up at you ? I don't ride in the wet stuff intentionally so no fender and water is no real issue ! Any idea if someone makes a fender to fit that combo you have ?
Anyone know of a Wheel Shop in Ca that could do this work ( lacing ) , the HD dealers in my areawon't touch it , someting about real expertese needed in lacing a rim , liability issues .
