Default 07 Fat boy bags

A few months back I had a set of the then `new' 2007 fat boy saddle bags put on my bike (whilst having 1st service at dealers).

My question, is there anyway of making these bags `quick-release/detachables' (just like then newly released fat boy bags)?

I enjoy having the bagson the bike when travelling, however, when I'm riding around the city, I think the bike looks a `tad soft' with them on.

Any advice, as always will be welcome and appreciated.

Cheers
