Default Fatboy with dual discs any one done it!

Hi guy's

Just like to introduce myself and also ask for advice on putting dual discs on a 2000 fatboy. some one has bound to have done it what was required and and problems that can be over come in advance. Sorry for the short note but have just spent the whole day installing race tech stuff on my bike only to discover that my nice new powdercoated forks are for a 2007 1 inch axcel so i also have that problem to over come as well. So as it is almost 7pm over here in europe it's time for a beer.

Great site guys and seemingly populated by well meaning people top marks to you all. j

There was a topic on the forum several months back, that discussed the difference in braking power betweenthe single and dual rotor setups on HD models. There isn't as much as you would think. Have you tried upgrading to a better caliper and brake pads?

I read somewhere that the 06 and prior bikes, have the hub bolts and it can be done for this reason. The newbikes do not have this 5 bolt hub setup. I guess it isa solid setup.Would this not necessitate a new fork for mounting thecaliper though.

Grumpy, you`lllove the gold valve emulaters .You`ll either have to buy a new wheel to accept a right hand rotor, machine a flat and drill and tap holes for the rotor on your original hub(space rotor accordingly).Buy a right lower leg for for a touring bike in a 41 mm.Buy caliper of your choice. Can of corn.T
