Default Brakes and forks

Did an FL Softail ever come with 2front calipers and rotors? If so what years? Just received my chrome fork lowers and ithas holes for calipers on each leg. Something tells me these are for a touring bike. Anyone have an idea? thx...rick

thanks guys...I just found out from a very reliable source, Softails have never had dual front brakes. These new chrome lowers came off of a touring bike.

I'd be curious about the spec's for those lowers. Are they the same dimensions as the ones on the FL Softails? If so, it would be cool to put a dual front brake setup on my Fattie...

Make new mounts. If interested, can show you how in picture. The softail is very easy to do in SS plate. I believe in brakes, the more the better. But than again, look how nice the wheel looks without them. You only need them right at the end anyhow.
