Word up on whatever bags you buy - make sure they have the box top type lid that over laps the entire bag (the Osprey is a good visual). If there is no overlap, they get wet inside real fast when it rains.

Wow, y'all come up with some good selections.

Now I'm thoroughly confused...
I started looking at bags over a year ago and finally just bought mine a couple weeks ago. Believe me, I know how hard it is to sift through all the good selections.

Cheapest Mustang saddles I've found were at m & m cycles... https://www.mandmcycles.com/homepage.htm

Saved around $300 buying it there.

I put the Road King Classic bags on my Deluxe. You have to use an aftermarket support, but they have a lot of storage and they are also detachable. Little expensive but I'm very happy with them. I went with HD's detachable sissy bar with the Deluxe back pad.

A friend of mine put roadking hard bags on his Heritage. It looks great. I'm not a huge fan of saddlebags, but I now think that if I were to go with bags I'd go with color matched hardbags. It's a nice look - much nicer than I thoought! I'll see if he has some pics that I can post, but I'm traveling (for work) till next week - may take me a while to post them. I'm actually in NorthernVA.
