I bought a set of leather pros, awesome bags, large, nice shape and the detach mech is nice and hidden, works great. But, they are $800. Check out www.leatherpros.com . Here's some pics

Check out Osprey Limited also... got a set myself and they are wonderful - extremely well-made, great quality materials, use EZ Brackets, and the price was very right:

I'm a fan of leatherpros. I have their large saddlebags. I recently bought the trunk bag and really like the extra room when I'm travelling.

I have a Mustang Sport solo w/backrest. It was the best purchase I've made for my bike. Very comfortable and I can ride for hours without back pain.

I also recommend the bags fromLeatherpros. They are good quality, lockable, and have plastic lining to maintain their shape. They are roomy and easy to remove and the bike looks great once they're off due to the small hardware required. They are cheaper than the Boss bags but very good quality. Boss bags and Leatherpros are somehow related, I read somewhere that they are run by brothers or something like that. The addresses are in the same town, but their detachable system is slightly different. I like the Leatherpros system because they're easy to remove and feel very solid once installed.

I'm sure they are good but I can't justify a grand in some bags I'm not going to have on all the time...wow...
That's why I like them. Because, like I mentioned, when you take them off, they have a very clean look. But to be honest, I hardly ever take them off. They're just too handy for both long trips and everyday riding.

Incidentally, the Boss Bag guy and the Leather Pros guy are brothers, if I'm not mistaken.

Mine came from Osprey, and I love them. He'll make them as plain or fancy as you want them. They are reinforced, and his price includes a set of Easy Brackets. I think I paid right at $500 for mine.

I have the stock Heritage bags on my bike with a set of Ghost brackets. I love the ease of removal. If you are interested, I have a set of 2006 Roadking classic hard leather bags for sale for $450 plus shipping. I was planning to put them on my Heritage for more storage room, but they interfere with the stock Heritage seat. If you get a narrower rider seat they should fit fine and could be attached using Ghost or EZ brackets with no problem.
