Guys I ride with say that they have trouble in some lighting conditions seeing my taillights, so have been looking into some LED options. I've only found one dealer so far who has a replacement set of LED's for the Tombstone taillight, and was wondering if anyone has seenor mounted this yet?

J&P Cycles has an LED array on a printed circuit board available for the Tombstone tailight. I think it may be sightly cheaper, perhaps $10.00 less.

While I haven't converted to LED's yet, just know that they are not all created equal. Some are brighter than others and some are made to allow better side light as well. LED's are known to be brightest when viewed directly.

 

Sorry to change the subject but Mike NY, are you sure that your bike is an '06? That blue on your bikelooks like it is Chopper Blue which was an '05 color.

I found a flat led array that fits the same socket already in place on the Deluxe. Cost was around 10 bucks...added TONS of light to the back of the bike. Also found direct replacement bulbs for the signals...they can blind you...

 

Trailfndr - where did you find the LED panel you mentioned, and which bulbs did you use?

Luxe - I called J&P and they said they get theirs LED panels from Billet Boys, but I never heard of them before....

Still looking for anyone who has installed these. I don't mind paying for a safety item, but don't want to get burned either. Like Mike NY said, not all LED's are created equal.

 

I am looking to change my tombstone cover from red to a clear/smoke like you can with the turn signals and use a red bulb/LED prefered to illuminate the red when the bike is running.
My bike now has orange/black/silver tins and I don't really like the red cover against the orange.
Found plenty of options for turn signals but not for the tombstone cover on our Deluxe's.
