RE: Some new mods for Texas Fat Boy
ORIGINAL: Texas Fat Boy
It a heat shield from Kuryakyn to save your thighs. Saddle Shields they call them.
They don't look like would work but they do.
They come clear or tint polycarbonate (plastic, not chrome). Mine are the tinted ones.
From one way they look chrome, the other way they look tinted.

Here's what the ad says about them:
Ever sit in stop-in-go traffic or at that 4-way stoplight that never seems to change on a hot summer day and the heat coming off your motor is just about unbearable? Kuryakyn's™ frame mounted polycarbonate shields are perfectly positioned on the frame to dissipate and re-direct the heat away from you and your thighs. So on your next hot weather outing, use a pair of Saddle Shields to help you enjoy your ride no matter how hot!

Thanks, that would be my concern that the fuel gage still works.
BTW,
What is that chrome piece above your rear jug and oil tank, just under the seat? Never seen this before...
