RE: Light bar on a Fatboy?
ORIGINAL: Babs
I'm interested as well in this one but the reasoning for me is to get those bullet lights off the handlebars.
Don't know if there's another option for FL bikes other than going to the full lightbar..
I kinda like the clean look of the fatboy without the bar myself but unless there's a really cool way of mounting the signal lights to the forks or frame, without interfering with the detach windshield. I'm kinda stuck at looking back at lightbars. Are there any other solutions? The catalogs aren't much help in seeing the end result.

You're paying for the billet look, bar, turnsignals and the chrome tree cover. I was torn between the two until I saw one on a softail classic. I liked the look better myself and decided it was worth it the chrome tree cover set the whole thing off for me. Yes the kit comes with everything to relocate the turnsignals. The kit is all plug n play with no wire cutting.

OK, thanks Chris. Seems like a lot of $$$ for what you get, but WTF.
I like the look of the bullet turn signals better than those on the Heritage classics. I don't plan on ever adding a windscreen, so no worries as far as that goes.

Put the chrome headlight nacelle, lightbar and passing lamps on my 05 fatboy. Didn't have to loosen the tank to do the conversion. Took all of about 2 hours. Still need to relocate the turn signals. Still haven't figured this picture thing so sorry no pics.

Wow, old thread! The Deluxe kit has the signals in the kit. The other (standard) kit requiresa "turn signal relocation kit" PN 68413-99 for the flat style (Heritage Classic) signals. You canalso get the "bullet style" kits, different color lenses (smoke, clear, amber) PN 69147-03, 69153-03, and 69063-03.
These are PNs for US, they have diffent #s for international bikes.

No, it won't. The driving lamps have the wires come through the center of the mounting studs. If you attach turn signals to those studs, it must allow the wires to route through the same location. The stock turn signals (those originally mounted on handlebars) have the wires exit the housing behind the mounting stud. I don't even know if the mounting studs are the same size/thread. Hope that makes sense.
