Here's a pic of my wife's 06 Deluxe with V&H Big Shots Longs on it with her new Heritage Springer Bags and guards. Just got the bags installed this week. Took some fabrication to make them work with the guards, but we liked them much better than stock ones.

I really like the look of the bigshots longs on the deluxe. Do you lose the rear peg with them?

How loud are they? Loud is good, but LOUD is not, if you know what I mean...

You don't loose the rear peg, but you have to relocate it on one side to make them match. I don't remember right now which side, but you'll see if you put the pipes on.

I had put this photo of the Deluxe with the Big Radius on another thread. I haven't heard from anyone, so I thought that I would put it here too. Sorry if eveybody saw it and just didn't reply. I wondered what everyone's opinion was of these pipes on a blue and white Deluxe. I would love to hear from all of you, good or bad. A friend of mine put the pipes on the bike using some photo software. (It's much cheaper that way if you hate the look![sm=badidea.gif])

I think the big radius look really neat, but I don't think they go with the old school look of the bike.

That said, with a few changes, the bike could look retro-modern and they would flow better. Maybe lose the pillion and the rack. Throw on the visored headlamps.

Thanks for the reply. That was my plan to lose the pillion and rack. I'm thinking a Close Solo Corbin saddle or a Close Gunfighter like I have on my Sportster. Dluxe sent in a photo of a black Deluxe with the Big Radius and it was nice. I haven't gotten the bike yet, so these are just ideas that I am tossing around in my head. The blue and white seems to look more retro though than the black to me, so I just don't know. I love those pipes but I also like the Big Shot Longs. Those don't have the sound of the Big Radius but they sound fine too. I just really love those Big Radius pipes.

Thank you again for your reply.

Rhubarb you can go to the Vance and Hines website and if your computer has sound, you can listen to the different pipes. Just follow the links to the Harley - Softail and click on the pipes that you want to hear. It is pretty neat and gives you an idea of how the pipes will sound.
