Redline Shockproof and '07 5th gear noise...
I just thought I'd share my experience with changing to Redline Shockproof V-Twin Transmission Oil on my 1k service....
While the 5th gear clatter is still there... it sounds different.
It now sound more like a purr... maybe a low growl.... instead of sounding like it is about to blow up!
It definatly sounds muffled....
I am much happier now....
Has anyone had similar experience?

Any of the high grade synthetics (Amsoil, Mobil 1, RedLine) will give you similar results.
They are all far better and longer lasting than is truely required to do the job intended.
Add to that the fact that most of usaremore than a bit **** about maintenance and frequent oil & filter changes.
With those facts in mindit probably doesn't make ahill of beans worth of difference which one of the good ones you use. Its the takingcare of it, changing it often, and using the "good stuff"parts that will prove to be the keyto a long and trouble free lifespan.
