For picks of wheels on a Deluxe, check out HogPro's website (click it over on the right of the screen) they have a gallery section. Deluxe's can be found under softail, but they have a really nice looking Road King with 21" fat spokes and WWW under the touring section . I haven't found 18" WWW tires in the correct size. Maxxis has 18" WWW but I have only seen 130's and smaller.

No offense, but as many Deluxes as there are running around, it is going to be hard not to copy somebody a little. I also see that you have been given a lot of good ideas, good luck. Personally, I am a fan of apes and that might be a place to start.

Well I'm getting bored with my bike's looks and am looking for ideas to pimp it out a bit but don't know what direction to go in. I'd like to give it a stronger appearance. Do I repaint it? Do I add some 80 spoke larger size wheels? Don't want to *uck it up though. By the way. I have looked through the Deluxe pictures area and do love some of them but don't want to copy someone else.

Put a Chrome Springer Front End on it....

You will never be totally different unless you modify it andnot use Harley or aftermarket accessories. That's why there were so many Harley Choppers back in the day that were different because the builders just hacked off pieces and changed them to their liking...

I saw where someone had put tribal flames over the blue/white dividing line. It blended pretty well and really stood out. I think it was either silver or a gray color but it matched with the blue and white. If you've got money to spend go with an air suspension so you can drop the rear down low over the back wheel.
Oh...take your cylinders and heads in and have them diamond edged. That will make them sparkle.

My two cents. More like one and a half.

I've found a lot of things on other bikes that I really liked. I have found some bikes that rock as a bobber, and some that fit the retro theme and stick to it. I have personally found that if I take it one component at a time instead of trying to buy or make 30 things at once, each piece fits into the theme and I have often not gone with another part because it would take away from my overall goal or look of the bike.

My idea is a retro bike with today's dependability, ease of use, and comfort. I am trying not to chrome every piece of the bike to give contrast to the engine, the wheels, and the handlebars.

Get your theme in mind and try to stick with it. Have fun and make it your very own. Yeah, it may resemble someone else's bike...but it is all about you and it will reflect in the outcome.
