if any of you guys have switched from the burnout kit and want to get rid of it, let me know. i tried to buy the kit last month, but apparently they are nowhere to be found. i'm not just talking about the kits, either....the whole company! the website is no longer there and the company i went through to get it said they were no longer able to carry the kits. didn't give me any more info than that.

anyway, like i said, if you wanna get rid of it let me know.....

I just purchased this kit today from JP Cycles. I believe it is the same as the Burn Out kit. At least that's what I'm told. $99.00 isn't too bad.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but that appears to only lower the rear. Right?

the 422s are great and i've also had good experience with the progressive cruise control fork lowering springs recently installed for the front too

Do not use the lowering kits. They put too much strain on the shock bolts and keep bottoming out. I had one on my 2007 fatboy and I had to buy the HD OEM part which lowers the bike by 3/4' not much but you get the looks but most important the ride quality
That a pretty heavy duty negative endoresement to make. There are a lot of people using lowering kits on stock shocks with no reported loss of ride quality, excessive strain on shock bolts, or bottoming. I know aftermarket shocks have definite advantages over stock but that doesn't negate the benefits of installing less expensive kits on stock shocks.

Did your shock bolts break? What brought you to the conclusion that all lowering kits are bad?
