be careful if you bend over in front of a hoarse...

Not trying to talk you out of it, but there are more comfy ways to get back and forth to work.

My suggestion would be to see if you can throw a leg over a few to get an idea of what fits you. It is generally accepted that the touring bikes will give a smother ride on the open road, but us softail riders would never concede that openly...

Stay away from the FXSTBNight Train if you have a bad back.

If their ever comes a day, I can not ride my Night Train due to a bad back,
I always said I would get a FXSTC Softail Custom.
In fact I had a temporary bought of insanity after I sat on the custom, said to myself,
"damn this custom is comfortable",and actuallyconsidered it, over the NT, and then,
I came back to my senses......LOL.

Long Live the Night Train.

I came back to my senses......LOL.
I think you really mean you had a momentary lapse ofsanity.
Then your more normal condition of "insanity"took over again.

My Fatboy became harder for me to ride as my back condition worsened. After me second surgery, I decided to put 16" apes on and a rider backrest. WALLA!! Problem solved. No more back pain. IfI were togo to a touring bike, I would get the RK. Put a set of 14-16" apes on it and a rider backrest. Good Luck on your purchase!! Bubba
