Default 2005 Heritage stock windshield too high

Whats the best way to solve my one inch too high stock windshield problem? I am 6ft. tall but the stock windshield is still that one inch too tall. Thanks Terry

Cut it.
I didn't want to chance messing mine up, so I took it to the local plastic store and paid them $30 to take 3" off the top. A friend did his own and it turned out fine. Search the forums, there are good instructions on how to do it and the tools to do it with.

I had mine cut down too,by a guy that does this regularly. Cost about $40; good way to have it done. Don't try this at home!

Had mine cut down 3 in. , local glass shop ( city glass ) , 2 days later was riding with itagain. cost $22 , great price & you couldn't tell unless i told you . Bob

I cut mine with the instructions here on the forums. Absolutely no problem and beautiful results. Took off 1.5"

Memphis Shades makes a bolt on replacement in 15 and 17 inch heights. $89. My wife has the 15 on her 07 flstc and I cut the stock shield down on my 07 flstc. She has money for a replacement windshield, I don't. Don
