ah hell, you don't even have to take the thing off, cut it in place, what you all afraid of ? just do your measuring and if it looks good good then cut the thing, I personallywouldn't use a jig saw cause it just shakes too much,go with the rotary/dremel cutter if you can, its smoother anda cleaner cut, I have an multi purpose air cutter for that type of work

I have a 15 inch coming from cyclespot , it is made by mempas shades. part # 2310-0046 Total price 67.00 shipped to my door. Cyclespot prices always hard to beat. Dang nice people to deal with too .

This is the lexan only that bolts right on existing windshield frame. I got clear, but many colors tinted are same price.

the glass guys told me to do it myself...so I did, get the finest tooth jigsaw blade you can, go by the instructions on this forum (cut slow, practice cut less than You intend to final cut), and sand afterwards...there's really nothing to it...

ORIGINAL: aviator

while most will say the windshield should be even with your nose, I had mine cut just a little lower - about even with my upper lip. I tend to slouch after 15 or 20 minutes of riding.
That's exactly what I do. For the first five minutes I look like a motorcycle cop and it's downhill from there. So I'm leaning toward cutting it to fit my most common position and it should still be acceptable when I'm doing the CHIPS thing. Like Voyager1 I'm reluctant to do it myself butif I can save $67 bucks that may give me enough incentive. Can't be that hard. Just tape it off, cut and file the edgessmooth. If I screw it upI'll take it to the localglass shop for a touchup. Hopefully I'll have better luck than Voyager1.
