I know this should be in the detailing section, but I figured I would get a quicker response on here.

What are your thoughts on the Blaster or other cycle dryers vs. leaf blowers/compressed air? I was looking at the Blaster, and all though it is not cheap, sounds like a pretty good unit. Any thoughts or comments???

 

A leaf blower works great, but even better is using the Mr. Clean car wash sprayer kit. Normally $19.95, I got mine for $9.99 at PEP BOYS. The spot free rinse option is what makes the system. After the rinse, you just let it air dry with NO spots!!! Guaranteed.

 

Neither. I think they are a waste of money. Mr. Clean water filter, a towel and a ride works better.

 

My son convinced me to try one of those Mr. Clean soap and water filters on my bike.
And I have to sayyou get better results for far less effort with it than the good old fashioned bucket of subs. I especially like the rise function. You get far less"spotting" using the filteredwater from it than you get from the garden hose.

 

I have a shop vac I bought at Lowes and it doubles as a leaf blower 200+ MPH. I attatch the flexible hose from my house vaccum cleaner with the slanted tip this channels the air to a smaller diameter and increases the velocity ....lets just say there isn't a spec of water when im done.

I also have the Mr Clean spot free car wash sysytem and wouldn't use anything else. Best investment a Harley owner could buy!

 

Mr Clean system and/or the leaf blower. Why buy something I already own?

 

Agree'd. Those motorcycle specific dryers are a waste of money.

For people with to much pocket money.

I also use the Mr. Clean system though. Now that's worth the money.

 

Way to much money for my blood on a gimmick. I have used compressed air without any filters and have never had any problems. Of course every decade or so you need to open the bleed valve to get the water an gunk out of your air tank.

Mr Clean sounds interesting, never tried that. Guess I am getting old (hence the Geezer) because I have just gone back to the dry towel method. If there are a couple of water spots I don't get all twisted about it anymore. Windex will take em off the chrome and Quick Detailer will take them off the paint if it bothers me that much.

 

the mister clean is deffinatley the way to go its getting hard to find the supplies down here though anyone else finding that problem

 

Check with the local Advanced Auto, they carry it and the supplies so even if they are out of stock they can get it.
