I guess that I have already made a big mistake. 19 years ago at the end of August. I bought my 2006 Heritage Classic on August 29, 2005 and still have it.

Hopefully you financed it at a high interest rate so we can hear you complain about that next.

As someone who has had Heritage Softails since the early 2000s, which I loved and wouldn't consider a different Harley or motorcycle for that matter, this latest batch of Heritage Classic models 2018-present and Harley's commitment to that line are a bit disappointing.
90% of Harley accessories are just overpriced Chinese crap anyway . As far as 2018 and newer Heritages they do have some problems I have one . But they are light years better than the old Softails in suspension, handling and power and I've owned both .

Default Rack

They have several on e-bay that are decently priced.

It's not just the newer bikes, I wanted rear saddlebag guards for my 16 Heritage, Harley says backorderd until November. I just ordered from hogwerks cheaper and got them in a couple days.

If you do light touring, the luggage rack for this bike has been on back order for over 1 year. At some point recently, Harley completely removed the part from their website, likely because several reviewers were warning people not to purchase the bike if you wanted to do some touring. I emailed HD and no response, if my dealer knows what's going on, they aren't saying. Step through customizing as if you were to purchase a new Heritage Classic and I guarantee 50% of the custom parts are on back order.

Again, please be cautious if you are interested in this bike for any type of touring or accessories customization.
So buy aftermarket items unless you're one of those "keeping my Harley are Harley " guys.
