21 Heritage 107 or 23 Heritage 114
#2
I can't offer a direct comparison between the 107 and the 114 because I've never owned a 107 but I can give my impressions of the 114 on the Heritage.
I feel virtually no difference in the felt heat between the twin-cooled 114 on my Ultra-Limited and the non twin-cooled 114 on our Heritage. Both of them have the factory oil coolers and both put off WAY less heat than the Twin Cam 96 on my previous 2008 Ultra Classic and the 1,200 EVO on my wife's previous Sportster 48. (Neither of which had oil coolers) In other words, the oil cooler seems to make much more difference than the twin cooling. I would imagine that the 107 might run slightly cooler than the 114 but I doubt I'd be able to tell the difference.
With the counter-balanced, solid-mounted 114 on the Heritage I can feel a little more vibration at highway speeds than the rubber-mounted 114 on the Ultra-Limited, but it's not unbearable. Just like the heat, I can't imagine you'd be able to feel much of a difference between the 107 vs the 114.
