Default Fat Tire kit for Soft-Tails

I have a 2003 deuce that needs a new fender andfat tire! I'm just not a big fan of the stock Deuce fender and if you put a short fender on you need a big tire (at least a 240-300). I'm looking for a kit that allows for a passenger. Heartland USA has an awsome kit but it is very pricey. I was just wondering if any of you guys have any input on the subject (pics, prices, installation problems, pros and cons etc.).

Thanks, Marc

I have 06 C.V.O. Fat Boy and front tire is 17/140 & back tire 17/200, I can take hands off bars and coast to a red light and not put a hand on bar till it is right at 0 M.P.H.! It tracks and rides so sweet, just like a caddy, but if you put that large tire on back and keep skinny front you will have high speed wobbles! YIKES!! If you go large on back, try to go larger up front, I do not want to sound like no it all but I have done what you are trying and allmost killed my self! Try www.americanmototire.com They have all the best tires for HARLEYS but I can only use one brand that matches my size DUNLOP, I wanted to put a Avon 210 on rear and called them but they say will not fit. GOOD LUCK!!! PURPLE HAZE.

Like shooter said, there's really only 2 choices, PM and Heartland. Both great kits, and good quality.
If I had to do it over again, i'd go with the Heartland because of more options.

I went with the Heartland 250 kit. You're right ,they are a bitpricey. But it is definitely worth it.Very good quality and the ride is awesome. Ive donehigh speeds (85-90 mph) with no wobble. No regrets at all.Best modIve made with more to come. Absolutely recommend it!!

ttlpakg your bike is super sharp!! I like chrome but I can respect a nice blacked out bike. It is unbelieveable what a dif. a fat tire kit does for a HD Soft-Tail. Did you install the Heartland kit yourself and if so, were there any problems. which fender did you use? About how much did the total project cost (if you don't mind me asking).

Thanks, Marc

Hey Shooter64 that is one SWEET *** CHOPPER I bet you got a lot of money in that bad boy, I have seen it before but today I just had to comment on the fine build of your sled! Your paint job probably cost as much as a newHarley, and I'm sure people tell you how nice it is, If you ever want to keep low profile do not ride that, it just POPS, its PERFECT!! PURPLE HAZE.
