Default Adding new-vintage tank emblems and adaptor

Anyone used these HD adaptors and emblems for your tank. If so I would appreciate seeing pics. I have a 2004 Fatboy.

Adaptor for my 2004 fatboy

Emblem that fits the adaptor

Not a Fat Boy, '97 Wide Glide. They have been on there for at least 10 years, zero issues. I like a small drop of Loktite on the little screws.

They should fit your tank. Hold the backing plate to the tank and slide it around and find the "spot" that the curves meet. May be a little different on your tank VS my tank VS 1959/60 when they were stock, but should fit for sure. Good luck.

I love these, I thought about having my tank painted and doing this. Those emblems would really pop with the seat and saddlebags off the 2016. But the tank badge on the 16 is sweet too.

Very nice, well done. The red looks so good against the black.

I put these on my 2019 FLHTP. As someone else mentioned, move the emblem around to find the best spot for it to match the curves of the tank.

I used a different emblem, but its the same concept - uses a bracket to hold the emblem....

Love that emblem on the softail slim. I wanted that one but the finish not being chrome didn't really match my bike. Great looking bike!

The HD part description does not describe the emblem as 'chrome', but the V-Twin part description does say 'chrome'.

These emblems were very shiny (chrome) when I purchased them (many years ago), but I 'deglossed' them using 0000 steel wool to
make them appear older & a bit less glamorous...

hth,
