Red security alarm light stays on
Guys,
Sorry if this is a repeat topic guys, but it seems my situation may be unique to other, previous posts.
I have a 2015 Softail Deluxe. I changed the battery, took it for a ride to ensure the battery is charged and functioning correctly.
The following ride, I noticed my red security alarm light stays on. The dash occasionally reads, "No Fob". I immediately rode it home.
I thought maybe my fob battery died. Replaced the fob battery. Same thing...isn't recognizing the fob.
Three questions:
(1) Because I changed the motorcycle battery and fob battery, do I need to re-enter or reset the security PIN ??
(2) If so, does anyone have instructions to do so for a 15' Softail? (I see different instructions on how to do this on YouTube...not sure which is "right")
(3) If I need to ride to dealer to take care of this, if the red light remains on....will it eventually stop running (thinking it's being stolen) or am I good to ride it?
Thanks so much in advance, guys ! Very gratified for any assistance !!!

I replaced the fob battery the same way it was positioned when I opened up the back case.
Did I disconnect the security system antenna while replacing the bike battery? I simply removed any connections from the battery terminals and replaced those same connections after installing the new battery. When I removed the negative terminal from the old battery, the siren went off until I reconnected the negative terminal with the new battery.

But lets do one more test. Leave the fob in the house or otherwise far away from the bike, and try to start it.
If it now won't start, or the alarm goes off when you try this, than it's properly detecting the fob and responding to it. The problem would then be a false display of "no fob", which might be a problem in the dash or display.
If it still starts, than the unit on the bike is ignoring fob input, but acting as if it's there, while reporting a "no fob" display. In which case the problem likely in the security module.

It not going to start if the battery is wrong side up or a protective cover is on it in the FOB.
I think the battery back up in the alarm is not correct if you have one an a siren. It's not being charged . It's working off bike battery voltage.
