I just wanted to give PROPS and honarable mentions to the people here who go above and beyond to help others out. You know who you are, and at times it's a thankless job. Well .... I just wanted to create a thread and say .... THANKS !!

This has been a long time comming, but it was after some help that I recieved from Sk1dM4rk that really made me want to give a shout out.

I was looking for a backrest for my Corbin Gunfighter seat. Sk1dM4rk had some experience with these and pointed me in the right direction and helped me get a new one. It's actually a metric backrest that's 1/2 the cost of one for a Harley. (Don't even get me started on that topic [:@])Sk1dM4rk knew that the metric ones would fit and I ordered one up last week, got it yesterday, and it fits perfectly.

My point is this .... many many people selfishly keep stuff like this to themselves only to sit back and watch someone crash and burn and laugh about it. Then you have people like Sk1dM4rk who go out of their way to help people out. PROPS not only to Sk1dM4rk, but to ALL of you guy's who step up to the plate to help others out !! You guy's make the world a MUCH better place to live in !!

I was over in the calssified section looking for a backrest for my Gunfighter seat. I'm getting ready to ride to Myrtle Beach and I wanted a little more support for the trip, not something to live on my scoot forever.

Anyway ...

I posted it in the WTB section since J&P, Corbin, basicaly all of the "seat sellers" want around 250 smacks for a BACKREST !! Personally, I think that's a little extreme for a backrest, so I was on the hunt.

Mark popped in and told me that all of the Corbin backrests are the same. If you have the Corbin slot, ANY backrest will fit, and he then directed me on over to Dennis Kirks site and showed me a closeout section where they were selling brand new Corbin backrests for BMW bikes for $129.00. As usual, I was a little hesitant, but I went for it. Sure enough, it arrived and fit like a glove.

My point to this whole she-bang was this ... Mark went out of his way not only to mention the backrests but to also help me find one. It's cats like Mark that make this place a better place to hang out. Lord knows I'm tired of the "tude" you seem to get everywhere else.
