Default Softail Extended length forward controls

Hey all, I am in the market for extended length forward controls and figured I would ask here as I have never bought any longer than stock. I am 6'2" and feel like my legs are cramped on my bike, and I have mulled the idea over to get longer forward controls. Question is with my height what do you guys recommend, 2" or 4"? I have always felt crowded on my softail, but on my baggers, I am golden when I have floorboards and highway pegs. I would love to be able to stretch out and fell more comfortable on this bike to get it out and ride it longer distances as I feel it only gets love around town and I tend to take my road glide and RK to bike nights.
Also, what brands do you all recommend for the forward controls.

I have the Arlen Ness extensions on my 2004 FXST. These are 3" (I think), work well and are not really noticeable. I have 35" inside leg and are comfortable for a full tank of petrol.

Awesome! Thanks. I am 34", so that should work our great for me. How do you like the fit of the extensions? I worry that they are going to be wobbly or poor looking?

You'll find hunting for aftermarket forwards they'll be billet your choice of finishes and either 2" or 3". Most are just bolt on unless you got some wild pipes and they all tend to be decently made, not sloppy and rattle prone like the steel gets.

i think they look ok and really secure. No one has even noticed they are there. They’re made of black anodised aluminium about 12mm thick. See the pics below but please ignore the over long bolts that I need to cut down!

Not a straight bolt on... you would need to make little adapter brackets as the footrests are moved apart by about 12mm. Dead easy though!

I’m about 6’ 4” 37” inseam 235lbs. These are two inch. I need the butt back another 2” to tell ya the truth. But the three inch forwards I did have looked weird sticking that far forward.

Be sure to get the ones with spurs (or whatever there called) to catch you heels.
