Default Night Train ****

Just took these pics last night after I removed the zinc plated bolts, and installed chrome ones.

I'm running Rush slipons with the 2" baffles, HD LED tail light, smoked turn signals, Arlen Ness mirrors, Skull pegs and controls, HD stripper leather seat, Skull tank badge, and HD leather grips. 2007 Softail Night Train.

I also took this video with sound of my pipes: http://s146.photobucket.com/albums/r...CIMG0817-1.flv

Thanks. Hey, it's lowered when I sit on it. Does that count?[sm=laughingsmilie.gif] Anyway, what's the process for lowering it for real?

What smoked turn signals are you running? Were they an easy plug and play or was it a slpice?

They are the HD ones. They come in a kit with the smoked lenses, and replacement bulbs. No splicing. Just plug and play. I took it a step further, and used red bulbs in the rear turn signals so that they match the tail light.

When I switched out my rear turn signals to LEDs, I had planned to go with red lenses. The vendor had both colors, butsaid most state laws require amber turn signals. I didn't want to give an excuse to be pulled over so I went with the amber lenses.

The Tribar tailight "fits" perfectly, and the pipes are quiter than I though they would be.
Looks really nice too with the new hardware. I gotta find a good source for replacements for the zink plated crap. Been looking at a couple of places that have polished Stainless steel bolt kits instead of chrome. I hate polishing and rust, with stainless I won't have as big a problem with keeping up with the occasional road salt bath that's inevetable up here in late winter and early spring..

Thanks. I love this tail light. Made all the difference in cleaning up the back end.

I sure hope my bolts don't rust. Are they any different than any other chrome part, like pipes, forks, etc.? I've never had any issues with rust here in Utah, even though we do get snow- we're in the desert so it's pretty dry.

Thanks. Hey, by the way- yesterday I used the bathroom at the local Harley dealer, and they had this wallpaper that had Harley tanks on it. They had a tank that looked exactly like yours. I always thought yours was a custom deal. Did you buy yours that way, or did somebody copy YOU?
