RE: Night Train ****
Thanks, man.
So, there's a fellow on this forum that is offering me some lowered Softail shocks for like 100 bucks. Should I do it? Is it just basically plug and play with the shocks? What about handling... is it going to ride like a hardtail after the shocks, and defeat the purpose of having a Softail?
Thanks

They "should" be plug and play...the ride quality all depends how much they are lowered. Like I said before...it all depends what you are looking for...I prefer the "look" over the "comfort"....you can always get them and if you don't like 'em, put the stockers back on and sell the lowered ones. You decision.

By the way, do you know Bert Linson? I think he lives in your same area in Germany. Former military guy that owns a V-Twin forum, as well as a Sportster forum. (www.v2-forum.com and www.xlforum.com ). You should look him up. He owns a new bagger, and an older Sporty. Might be fun to hook up for a ride with the guy.

I think he said these shocks would lower it about 2". What do you think, would that make much of a difference in handling/ride? I'd want to install them myself. Do they just basically bolt on?
