Ironbags and detachable hardware?

Ironbags and detachable hardware?
Anyone using detachable hardware with Ironbags? Ironbags customer service said they could not be used with detachable hardware. Would they work with Bubbas detachable or would something else be better if able to use with Ironbags?
Then again, I wonder how often I'd really ride without them. Those of you with detachable, do you really take them off that often. It does seem like a nice option.
Thanks.

RE: Ironbags and detachable hardware?
Not sure about Ironbags and detatch, but the only time I take mine off is to wash the bike or show someone the brackets.
Same with the windshield and sissybar that I bought QD for. Next time, I'll save the cash I think and not buy QD.
I have EZ brackets and leatherworks bags btw... not as fancy as Ironbags, but have worked flawlessly so far.

RE: Ironbags and detachable hardware?
I don't have Ironbags, but my Osprey bags are detachable and I do so all the time. I love the 'convertible' aspect of my Fat Boy, much like the thread about versatility- I usually have my windshield, sissybar/luggage rack, and bags off; and my solo seat on. I love having the ability to install them in a minute or two, when riding situations dictate.

Thanks for the info. Still not sure what I'm going to do. I do like the Iron Bags and the Boss Bags. But, I could get the HD Heritage bags from Chicago Harley for 20% off. They just don't seem to be up to par with the Iron or Boss bags. But a lot of folks have the Heritage bags and seem to be fine with them.
