Kuryakyn Smoked rear LED turn signal conversion
Just purchased the Kuryakyn Smoked rear LED turn signal conversion kit and it comes with some load balancer (or something like that from memory)... does this need to be installed on an 07 fatboy? What does it do?
If so, does it just plug in or is ita soldering iron job. Am guessing if it needs to be wired in that it gets wired under the rear fender. Does this mean that the rear wheel needs to come off?

Just installed the light on my Softail Custom......I ditched the rear turn signals so I did use the load equalizer....no soldering required...everything just plugs into place. Just had to find room....yet again...under the seat for the control module.

Keep and Eye on the LED's I had the Kuryakyn LEDS and got pulled over and the LEO indicated that over half the LED were not working. He was really pleaseant about the situation and wanted to let me know. That was the 2nd lense assembly.
Currently running HeavyCycles with the turn signals in the lenses. www.heavycycles.comMuch better quality and lifetime warranty.

That sux... I thought LED's were super long life and reliable.I will inspect mine tomorrow. They don't seem overly water-tight. Also for the price, they would be very easy to pinch of your bike if parked ... literally 2 seconds.

The Load Balancer is for the turn signals, not the brake light. Incadescent bulbs (regular bulbs) draw more current then LED types, so the Load Balancer is used to trick (or actually load) the system down. If you don't use it, your turn indicators have the potential of flashing at an unpredicted rate.

Yup... and the blink at normal rate, cancel etc etc all without the load balancer. I might end up putting it on anyway so I don't blow up any of the led's. Will that plug straight into an 07? Where abouts does it plug in?
