I purchased a new 2023 Breakout 117. It was built on 6/13 and was scheduled to ship from the factory on 6/28. How long does this take? The dealer can't get a response from Harley Davidson to even confirm if it has shipped yet? I put 7k down and am getting frustrated I cant get any answers. I was told I would have the bike in 4 weeks but it doesn't look like that's going to happen. Curious on ship times for any other members.

The transport company contracted by HD usually ships within 7 days after it's on the dock and ship schedule. Then it depends on the route, how many other bikes are going in your direction and how far from Milwaukee to your dealer.
Of course covid is still causing issues. One was the large number of truck drivers that quit when the you have to take the vaccine or you can't drive for us. The number of drivers is still below pre covid. Then you have warehouse worker shortages as so on.
If it's built it's coming. Be patient.

 

Dude, chill a few weeks is nothing, average is 6 to 8 weeks build to dealer if you are lucky.

 

I'm in Nashville, so I am not that far, do they email you when it ships? They have my contact name and email on the sold order dated 6/13 showing it was built on 6/13, waiting on factory release and scheduled to ship on 6/28. I swore I read somewhere they email you when its on the way. Or maybe it was wishful thinking. I'm trying to be patient, at this point I would just like an answer if it shipped or not.

 

He'd have loved the 90's. 1yr plus wait times (2 yrs if it was a black Fatboy HA HA !!!! I'll be BACH !!!)

 

What many don't understand is dealers get regular shipments in lots, factory ships multiple bikes at a time not one or two that got ordered.

You could pay in advance and still not get any answers..

 

If your dealer can’t answer your question, how do you think the forum members can?

The only new bike that I bought from the factory was my ‘12 TriGlide. I happened to “buy” it when it was on the shipping dock. It seemed like it took a lifetime, and I was like a little kid a week before Christmas. Enjoy the anticipation, and celebrate when the dealer calls ya.

 

I gave up on two bikes due to delivery delays (120th Ann. Fat Boy & '23 Breakout in Orange). I finally bought one when I found it at the dealer, although black. It had just arrived. It was the right choice.

 

I get it, it’s riding time and you want your ride, especially putting that much down. Everything in perspective,
Four weeks? That’s nothing. I waited five months for my BMW from order to dealer.

it will get to your dealer and it will be worth the wait.
