Can anyone help identify these wheels?
#21

This is just a big FWIW.... and is all my personal opinion...
When having a discussion, and someone labels someone else's "experience" or "observations" as a "myth", it does not really add any more credibility to their opinion, nor does it discount the other person's experience or observations.
I have never ridden a Harley with solid wheels...
I have a couple good friends who said in a cross wind, and one specifically mentioned while riding across a bridge, they felt severe push due to the solid wheels.
I have other friends who say they have never noticed a difference...
I know them all to be credible people, and I don't believe for a second that any of them are lying about their observations/experience, for whatever reason.
It could be like "buffeting" or "heat" discussions, some feel it, some don't. Some consider them the bane of riding and others think it's a lot to do about nothing...
It is always possible that other things cause people to feel what they thought was wind on the solid wheels, and/or some may just be more prone to feeling a difference, that others don't notice.
I tend to believe and trust reports on experience, especially if I know the person to be credible.. I temper my belief, knowing there could be unknown, unrelated factors influencing a person's observations.
When someone offers an opinion they claim is based on "fact", they lose my confidence unless they supply me with the information that led them to their conclusions. I would rather see the facts myself, not just hear someone's conclusions. I've recently seen many cases of supposed "fact checking" that show the word "fact" has been thrown around rather loosely of late. I prefer to think for myself thank you...
If someone has to badmouth (or censor) a view that opposes their own, that immediately suggests to me they have some kind of dog in the fight... It could just be ego, maybe it's monetary, or who knows.... It doesn't mean they are wrong, just "invested" in the outcome....And that's always a red flag to me..
