Blown fuse

Blown fuse
I removed the turn signals from a 2002 HD night train fxstbi. My fuse keeps blowing. The tail light/brake light and headlight were the only lights working prior to removal. The headlight taillight are the only ones I need cause I use hand and arm signals. The turn signals never worked anyway. How can I prevent the fuse “15” from blowing. Novice electrician so plz to destroy me lol TIA

the rear wires are completely disconnected. The front are wrapped in electrical tape. I think you may have solved it. I don’t think each individual wire was wrapped. I’ll double check. Dumbass could be my middle name

Sounds like you got your problem fixed. Get you some black shrink wrap at Harbor Freight or whatever it's convenient for you for vehicles wiring.
Don't use tape in automotive type use. And solder all connections. Never twist on connections. I don't find self squashed connections very reliable either.
If it's important, I solder them also and I have special tools just for making the crimps.
If it's hidden, since it's thin, I also double shrink wrap. Then packed in Black RTV in the ends. Keeps grim from getting in there and the moisture from making small electric drains to ground if they are close.

Just in case.

PS. Again just suggestions and my opinions. I have a few followers that troll me. If they jump in, sorry.
