As far as a cheap way to do it, I have heard good things about the HD kits. For all 89'-06' models it is about $140 (with a JiffyStand), and about $100(without a Jiffy Stand), for the front, and $90'ish for the rear (without replacing the shocks). If you decide to replace the rear shocks, it starts off at about $285 (for black), and $350 for the chrome version. The '07 and later models have the same prices. I have a friend with an '01 Heritage, and he has this kit installed. Even though it only drops the bike ONE inch, it does make a little diffrence in the stance of the bike. I have been thinking about doing this conversion to my '03 Heritage, but am still on the fence. I hope someone speaks up, and enlightens us to some alternative sources for these lowering kits.

Thanks Night Stalker. I wouldn't want to lower the rear only. Front and rear.
Wish we had a picture.

In about a week and a half, I'll have a Harley frt lowering kit with the kickstand (and) a set of Harley shocks with the Progressive Adj kit already installed on them. $200.00 will take all (+ shpg)

Depending on how low you want to go, you might want to avoid the HD kit. Look at one from Arlen Ness, or Progressive. They offer more flexibility on how far you can drop it. Just remember, the lower you go, the harsher the ride.

I've got the Ness lowering kit. It lowers the front and the rear. The rear is adjustable and shouldnt be too big of a deal as long as you have a jack. Also comes with a 1" lower kickstand...
