The dealer says any accessory that I put on the day of purchase will be covered for the life of the warrenty. Would getting the extended warrenty be a good idea?

 

IMO the warranty is almost useless I wouldnt extend it past the 2 years they give unless you really are not going to do anything performance wise to the bike except thru the dealer

 

Keep in mind that the only reason they sell extended warranties is because they make a profit on them. It isn't for you to save money. Just MHO.

 

Stay away from "extended warrenties" Useless. Just another money profit scam by the dealerships, whether it be cars,bikes, you name it, extended anything is just a way to milk you of your money.

 

They definitly make money on them.

For the most part you will not use the warrenty enough to pay for itself. It is like gambling.

When I bought my Heritage I asked my salesman if he thought the extended warranty was worth buying. His reply was "I have every confidence in the products I sell." That was good enough for me. I declined the extension.
