Hey if you're a guy thatloves the shield.. kick it up a notch and slap on a fairing. So while you're protected from the wind you can hear your pipe and some music. I on the other hand love the windand noise and preferno shield. Although I love the tunes way too much, so I have a fairing with a 5" that's basically there for looks.

I took off the Harley detachable because the only way to enjoy it was to also have those chrome deflectors on the front forks.
I hated that look. But theysure work.
To stay sporty I went with a memphis Shades El Paso.
Love the look and no head baffling
but I do have wind noise in my ears now and the pipes aren't as loud while riding.

I never thought i would own a windshield but decided to get one when i purchased the bike . The stealer offered to cut the windshield down for me but i decided to give it a try as is. Right now I could never ride with out it. i took it off one night went about half a block came back put it back on and its there to stay. Like i said i could never see my self riding with a windshield but once you get use to it its hard to take it off
