The color is one of my favorites. NC Pirate has a J&E Fat Boy; see if you can find him on here.

this probably sounds crazy but i am double thinking the fxstc and thinking about the fat boy instead. i have always liked the looks of the fatty and am mildly concerned about the thin front tire on the custom. have any of you had issues with it. the two bikes are surprisingly very close in price so that is not the issue.

Was that $16600 OTD? I paid $16900 for my 07 Deluxe plus tax and $170 doc fee. If thats the OTD price Id say its a good deal, $13200 would have been a KILLER deal in my book! I almost bought a J&E blue Deluxe, it really is a sweet color combo. But in the end, for me, you just cant beat a black Harley.

16,600 is out the door with that color combo, plus tax/title/license.

If I went with the two tone non-custom color it would be 16 flat.

I came real close to tradin in on that very bike. That color combo on the custom looks sweet, someone had already snagged it by the time I was ready.

My first choice was the Jake and Elwood Blues Fat Boy, but unfortunately they were trying to rape me. Fortunately I found mine at another dealer who was willing to meet my price (as dictated by my Finance Manager (Wife!), and I haven't regretted it. I really wanted to see that color scheme in person before deciding, but unfortunately there weren't any in the dealers that I visited... it sure looked good on the web site though.

BTW - "out the door" is including taxes, prep, licensing, etc... means final cost. Not sure what the pricing is on them, and I presume it's an '07 based on the color scheme? That is a 'premium' color, at additional cost. MSRP was $17,700 (with the J&E Blue Sunglo paint), so presuming it's an '07 you may want to shop around to see if you can find a more smokin' deal (since the dealers are now clearing out the remaining bikes)? I know the couple of dealers I've been in lately have some really great deals on the remaining '07 Fat Boys, and if I'd have had the patience to wait a few weeks I could have saved a couple of grand, although I decided to take the deal I made.

Good luck, whatever you decide!

That's a pretty good price for that bike. I would go for it, unless you can get a '08 for not much more. I got my '08 vivid black custom at cost, but I traded my Deuce for it and this is also the 5th bike we've bought from the dealership. They were willing to deal since 4 of those 5 were bought in the last 3 months. I got vivid black because I plan on having it painted over the Winter.
