Steering dampener for 2003 Heritage softail
Looking for triple tree mount steering dampener for my bike. Been fixing this bike up. Swing arm rebuild and new fat spokes are last item that could make bike wobble at speed. I’m sure it will be fine then but I am used to a steering dampener on my bikes. I would like the type that I can just turn dial before a take it up over 100. Seems I can only find the type that mount frame to fork. Found the 2018 and up triple tree type and that’s what I am looking for. Anyone make em?
I can get the type in photo if that’s all there is. But would have to cut up my front crash bar as I don’t have on bike.

yeah I will have new anything that could cause a wobble soon. This is only second bike I have ever felt it and man it sucks when it happens. I know spokes are a little off but I suspect worn swing arm bearing. I will find out soon. I got speed wobbles at 114 on a past bike and always run a steering dampener now. Never want to find out it happens up over 100🤷🏼♂️

Last I knew GPR was the only triple tree mount like you want making stabilizers for anything Harley. I know they only show 2018+ softail, dyna, ans FXR stuff butt maybe contact them and ask if they know of anybody who as done it. Or possibly make one for the other bikes work on yours. Most of the difference just lies in the bracket that the little lever locks into on the frame side.

Do what makes you comfortable..... but....
I've had two Heritage bikes... an'89 EVO, and my '03 Twin Cam... I bought them both new and still have the '03. I also have an '01 Springer FXSTS....
I've never had a wobble on any of them.....
I haven't read/heard of many issues with wobbles on softails. The bagger wobble is real, experienced that myself, but that's because of the different frame and mounting points than the softail...
There is a reason that stabilizers are prevalent for the touring line, but almost non-existent for the softails..
IMHO.... you should save yourself the expense and headache of putting a damper on your '03 Heritage, and focus on the maintenance of the tire, tire pressure, wheel bearings, spokes, and proper steering head adjustment/lubrication in your maintenance schedule... and I seriously doubt you'll have a wobble issue..
Good luck with your decision and enjoy the bike...!

A 2003 Softail does not need it. Correct tires and they don't wobble. In fact, having that would make it tend to overcorrect at interstate speed.
The best handling Softail is what I describe as loose in the front end with the fallaway set to minimum.
But just my opinion. I've tried it only on mine and a 2006 Fatboy both ways. It will go straight down the interstate with simple body English .
But were it shines is the twisters. Set tight or a damper would make it a dog.
