Default 2007 deluxe tank and fender on 2008 heritage

Hello,

I have an opportunity to buy a mint set of tank and fenders and I would like to swap them.

new tins are for a 2007 deluxe, I want to put them on my 2008 heritage (date of manufacture is Nov 2007)

Ive been reading there may be some fuel pump issues, can anyone shed some light on this for me?

thanks,
Shane.

The late 2007 build bikes are 2008 models. To confirm this the vin number will tell what year model it is. Google harley vin numbers.
My understanding is the tank brackets in the tank are different.
The rear fender isn't the same for tail light and indicator mountings. You would need to use deluxe lights.

I confirmed that my bike is a 2008, and that it does use the newer style of pump.

has anyone made the tank work? 2008 style pump in a 2007 tanks?

thanks

Just check the years.
08 or 18?
If you can get tin set vin and check that maybe you get lucky?

Personally I would try confirming the tin set vin number hoping it's a 2008 model or strip your set and get them painted. All decals are badges can be refit.

Not sure if you ever came cross this, but it's an excellent way to cross reference parts and numbers. Hope it helps.
