RE: handle bar wiring
I did my own soldering and splicing on my Deluxe when I swapped out the handle bars on my first go round. Wanted to save a few bucks so I figured I would do it myself with a bit of local knowledge obtained from the forum here. The stock bars are a tight fit to say the least especially when you add the heat shrink that will be needed around the wires. The time and energy was much more than I initially anticipated. After some additional upgrades I decided to go with yet a different look and set of handlebars. The second time around I saved lots of time and energy by going with fat bars made for internal wiring and using the extension kit. Lessons from the school of hard knocks, go with the fat bars and extension kit.[sm=goodidea.gif]

RE: handle bar wiring
Those Novello kits are like 60$.I went to a local parts house (napa) and bought the connectors and then to thehardware store for the wire.It cost about fifteen bucks that route. Nothing wrong with the kits but I figuire if I could do it cheaper and do it myself why not.
