Default Rear Wheel Question

I recently bought my wife a 2004 softail standard that had the drivetrain from a 2007 night train installed along with tins. I am not sure if the rear swing arm was swapped too but it currently has a 200/55R17 tire on a solid wheel. I bought a contrast wheel from a 2006 night train but the hub appears to be wider (about 1/2”). The wheel did. It come with bearings, inner spacer, outer spacers, or pulley. Has anyone done this swap before? Looking for some guidance.

On the contrast wheel (Black center) that wheel was used on 2006 - 2009. I believe there were three variations of the same wheel, 2006 was different the the later (wider belt pulley), O7 was an odd year (narrower pulley) and 09 &09 were the same wheel. I tried to put an 06 on my 09 and it would not work because one side of the hub was wider than the later wheel. You may have a swing arm from a 07 - 09?

I am just trying to figure out how to make this work. Looking for the correct axle spacers and pulley.

I have touched the '07 & 08-later wheel, but Not a '06 wheel ... BUT I have handled the '06 spacer sleeve and know it's longer than the '07.

IF all your wheel size difference is on the Pulley Side, check to see if there is enough "meat" on the pulley to mill off the same amount of difference.

... haven't looked up associated parts interchangeability yet

That was kind of my thought. Either take material off the hub or the pulley.

If I knew the spacer lengths for the 06 I could confirm this but not sure if the swingarm from a 06 and 07 are the same.

You responded to a 2 year old thread. 2007NT hasn't been active since his last post (above yours). You would be better off starting a new thread to get advice.
