I was swapping out my battery and dropped the negative terminal bolt. When I reach to get it it fell down under the battery box, made a couple of "clinking" sounds, and then I lost it. I am sure I am not the first and won't be the last I have this experience. I have already tried using a flashlight and a mirror to look everywhere I can. I have even tried to wedge my fingers in some places that I could not see. Any ideas or suggestions without tearing the bike apart?

 

Telescoping magnet or mechanical fingers.

 

Harleys love to collect nuts and anything small. Go to the hardware store and replace it. Do not question it, move on.

 

And hope that it does not find its way to the front drive pulley
