Default Tombstone tail light for 2008 heritage softail

Hey what specific year and model of a fender I need to buy to put a tombstone on my 08 heritage?

A lot can be learned by doing a simple comparison with part numbers over at Ronnie's microfiche. With a little digging I came up with this for you.

One is an 08 Deluxe Rear Fender assembly the other is your 08 Heritage, if you look at the chrome supports and the fender supports you'll find identical part numbers.

This tells me an 08 Deluxe fender will mount right up to your 08 Heritage. Therefore giving you the ability to go with a Tombstone taillight, but the cost could be high, I
don't know of anyone that makes an all in one Brake/Turn/Run Tombstone Taillight, but then I never looked. You go Tombstone in the rear you're going to need turns
also. That would require this. Ronnie's Harley-Davidson's 2008 Harley Davidson FLSTN SOFTAIL® DELUXE (JD) | TURN SIGNALS - REAR Parts List (onlinemicrofiche.com)

And your front turns will not match your rears. But there may be more to it. Hope this helps, a little bit.

Another option, I chose to move the tag below the tombstone fixture. There are kits out there. I dont have the vendor/part numbers, you'll have to research.

Check the part numbers, but probability is high that a 2008 Deluxe rear fender will bolt right up.

I changed my 2012 Heritage Rear Fender with a 2012 Deluxe rear fender. Also had to do some wiring harness changes.

I am really happy with how it turned out.

Tampa, you have a Deluxe, he has a Heritage, looking to go Deluxe style Tombstone taillight.
Big difference.

It's exactly what DK said and I said prior, check your numbers, more fits then you would think. I'll keep my lollypops front n rear.

Btw, if you’re looking for a good tombstone without the license bracket or extra light on top of the tombstone, check out the rear taillight for a 2008 Road King CVO. Right from Harley. I’m putting one on my Fatboy.

Hands on, a lil labor, and the machine shop, you have that deleuxe tombstone/light bar and tag below it.
It's all about whaat you put into it, that tlc. Simplest way throw a deluxe fender on, yes. Have to have it painted tho, do what I suggested...DIY on your own fender with the deluxe lightbar/tag/tombstone.
