03 Deuce Fuel Moto Power Vision
I finally got around to getting the power vision from Fuel Moto for my 03 Deuce. It just showed up today. Not sure if anyone can answer this question. Fuel Moto is closed until Monday.
So...I went to flash the bike and under the custom tunes there were 2 maps instead of one.
Would this just be two different versions and run which one performs better? I just have a stage 1 air cleaner and big shots staggered. I flashed the first one but can't ride until tomorrow.
Slot 1: sd-0405D-1 05
Slot 2: sd-0405D-1 27

Looks like FuelMoto changed the way they label their tunes... You used to be able to tell what the tune was for, by the label..
For my 2003 w/95" big bore kit, and Andrews26N cams, and a high flow exhaust cams... the tune was named: "0203-95-26N-105".
I would guess, since they are for an EFI without O2 sensors. This is what they mean:
sd-0405D-1 05 could mean: sd = speed density (open loop tune without O2 sensor feedback) - 0405 = 2004/2005 (both 88" so the fact you're an 03 88" shouldn't matter)- D = deuce- 1 05 = Stage 1 and 05 version of that tune... Again, these are complete wild a$$ guesses on my part. I just know there is usually a method to naming tunes so they can keep them straight.
In any case, by their names, they appear to be pretty close tunes.. you could open them up in WinPv on your computer and check the AFR & timing table deltas to see how they are different.. it could give you a clue...
Regardless, usually when you order a PowerVision for a certain group of mods from FuelMoto, they put your custom tune in the #1 slot...
When they dyno tuned my 124" engine, they gave me two tunes... One was for best performance, and the other was dialed back a little for lower octane fuel... I am from CA and Jaime wanted to include a tune that would work for our sometimes poor CA gas... especially in winter...
It's possible that's what they gave you.... slot #1 is the best performance tune for your combo, and slot #2 is a slightly dialed back version for poor and/or lower octane fuel...
I'd run #1 and if it starts pinging, try downloading the tune from slot #2...
