You are going to get a myriad of suggestions on this one. I personally prefer the Harley Sundowner. I've had em on every bike I've owned.

.. after 450 miles on my Badlander this past weekend.. I began shopping for a more comfortable solo for long hauls, myself~ I've been looking at the C&C seats really hard~ I'll keep an eye out here, though, to see what others suggest...

I have been through 7 seats now andhave finally found a great seat that isn't butt ugly... the Danny Gray Back Up Two Up! As comfortable as my Sundowner, (which is was the most comfortable to date but sooooooooooo butt ugly!). I like the Lepera bare bones gell seat as far as where it puts you in the bike, but it is a 100 mile seat at best... The C&C, Mammoth Choppers, stock and the Diamondback were all disasters. I don't think you can go wrong with the Danny Gray.....

I have a Mustang seat on my NT. It is great for long rides, but it does sit me up higher than the badlander seat. It also got me closer to the front pegs and being 6'2" it wasnt confortable. I have since added 3" forward controls to it and feel great on it.

If you are going to make long trips, I'd suggest you get an engine guard and highway pegs. This allows you to change your butt position during the ride. I have this set up with a stock seat and seldom get butt fatigue.

I got the Mustang solo on my 06 NT and it is GREAT. Alittle lower back support too. I also have the matching pillion pad for 2up.

You did 1200 kms and 15 HOURS on a Badlander?????? That's friggin incredible. I couldn't go longer than 2 hours on mine!

Not sure what type of seat you're after, but I have a BAR Enterprises Hitchhiker on my Night Train, and I have put in over 16 hour days without discomfort. you can see what it looks like in my sig pic.

Cheers!
