Default Heritage Passing lamps HELP!!!

Ok. I've read the posts to wire the lamps to stay on on high beam. Where exactly do you pick up the orange and red accessory wire to splice into? Is it in front of the tank or do I have to connect under the seat?

It should be in the same connector for the headlight/spotlight harness. If you look, you see 4 wires going in(blk, wht, y, red) and only 3 wires going out to the headlight(blk, wht, y)

Ok, I bought a 3 position switch at Murray's auto parts. (Looks like the stock switch)

I wired it from the headlight low beam in the down position. (yellow wire)
Center is OFF
In the up position I picked up the connector on the left side of the tank that goes to the front fender lamp. This gives me passing lamps on all the time High and Low beam.

Gives me the option to run the lamps all the time or only with the low beams..

Can you link us the part online so we can look into it more?? Sounds like a great mod for my future modulating lamp feature. Thanks!

yup. Gonna setup my spot/passing lights to modulate ("alternatively flash") per legal requirements, but would like to have an easy access switch to enable/disable it. I'm gonna keep the headlamp in normal operation at all times.

Great idea Conklin. Please start a thread when you do it with pics and descriptions of what you did. I might follow suit.
