Default Fatboy Fork springs a gusher!Pulled over to investigate

On the freeway today when I started hearing a loud clunking sound from the front end, it sounded like it was going to fall off! Pulled over to investigate and saw fork oil running out of the joint where the upper and lower tubes connect on the right front fork. Also all over my engine and pants. The bike still felt stable except for a loud clunk every time I hit a bump so I nursed it home on backroads at slow speed. I'm guessing its a blown oil seal or maybe the spring broke taking out the seal.

I'll pull the fork tomorrow to see what's up, but I've never had this particular problem before. Anyone ever had this happen and any tips if you did your own repair?

Thanks!
