Default RE: extended forward controls

ORIGINAL: bnorman

I am installing the Ness kit on my 08 FXSTC. All goes well, but I can't figure out where to mount the "T" bracket for the extended brake line. Instructions say to use the existing hole in the frame near the exhaust mounting brackets. I can't find and existing hole in the frame. Does anyone have any help or advice. Tried to call Arlen Ness but the TECH Guy is out until next week. I would like to ride this weekend.

Thanks
Confusing, because its the SAME holes the bottom exhaust bracket uses.
Hope this helps.

On my '07 FXSTC, the hole I used is just (~1") in front of the two bolts where the exhaust support bracket mounts to the frame. It's been a while, but if I remember right, it may have had a black plastic plug in it. -stef

Got the Ness kit on my '08 FXSTC too. Had the dealer order it and install it too. Love the new positioning. (That's what she said!) 6'1" and kinda leggy too. About $180.00 from the dealer and ~$60.00 to install. Jeez, I could have went out a total of 5" and not have been totally straight-legged I think. Go for it.
