Before I bought my Fatboy, I almost puller the trigger on a used'03 SE Duece, and I don't remember that Badlander style seat feeling so uncomfortable, if I remember right the Deuce seat felt wide and a bit more comfortable....

 

My '05 Anniversery Fatboy came stock with the badlander seat. When I first got the bike I road up to Big Bear (170 miles round trip.) Ouch!!! I bought a Sundowner for anything over 150 miles and it works great!I still use the Badlander for shorter trips because......well, it looks great!!!

 

Okay, 2 hours wasn't my max. (6 hours was) but it was an uncomfortable 6 hours. After about 3-4, I couldn't tell my azz from my boots.... it was all numb.

I HAD the Badlander on my FatBoy but after a few short rides on it I sold it to a mate in the land down under. Got the LePera BareBones w/ gel. It's not a long distance seat but it sets me back and down which was a must for me

 

My *** goes numb after about an hour on my Danny Gray Buttcrack Solo. Guess you gota give up comfort for looks. I need to invest in a long haul seat...

Now that's a nice looking saddle, let us know how it goes. I'm really interested in how your pillion goes on and off with the rider back support in that position.

 

I'm running the leather Badlander on my '06...I bought it for the looks but it's definitelynot ***-friendly...don't mind it on the bar-hops but I neededsomething better than the stock seat for the long rides so I ordered up a Mustang vintage on monday...should be here next week [sm=smiley20.gif]

 

I emailed Allan at Mean City, and he got right back to me and suggested re-doing my Badlander with memory foam. He said he can also move my riding position back no problem. I think I am going to give him a try. I will post a follow up when I get the seat back. I think after some tweaking, I will have a reasonably comfortable sweet looking saddle.......
